Who we are
This privacy policy covers sometimes-storage.com ("Sometimes Storage", "we", "us"). It explains what personal data we handle when you use this website, and what rights you have over it.

Data we collect when you contact us
This site has no contact form and collects nothing through it. If you email us, we receive only what you choose to put in that email, which is typically your email address, your name if you sign it, and your message.
We use it for one purpose, to read and reply to your message, and where relevant to inform which storage topics we write next. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your explicit consent.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and your consent where you provide the data voluntarily.
- Retention: correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted.
- Sharing: your email reaches our mailbox and our email provider handles it in transit. It is not shared further.
Analytics and server logs
We use Google Tag Manager on this site. It is a container that loads our measurement tags, which include analytics used to understand, in aggregate, which storage topics people find useful. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and we do not use this data to build advertising profiles.
Google acts as a processor for that measurement and may process technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent, device type, approximate location and the pages you view. Google's own privacy policy governs what it does with that data.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs. Including IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and timestamp, for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics. These are retained for a limited period and then discarded.
Affiliate links and third parties
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination retailer may set cookies or record a referral in order to attribute a sale. That processing is governed by the retailer's own privacy policy, not ours.

Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. These generally include the right to know what we hold, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of it.
- Access. Ask what personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification. Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Erasure. Ask us to delete your data where we have no need to keep it.
- Objection and restriction. Ask us to stop or limit certain processing.
- Portability. Ask for a copy in a portable format.
- To exercise any of these, email info@sometimes-storage.com. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and we apply standard security headers. We keep the data we hold to a minimum, which is the most effective protection available. Data we never collected cannot be exposed.
No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information sent to us.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and the last-updated date at the top will reflect that. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
