Outdoor storage has one extra variable that indoor storage does not: weather. Damp destroys cardboard, rusts unprotected steel, swells untreated timber and turns stored cushions into a science experiment. Any outdoor storage idea that ignores drainage and ventilation will fail within two seasons, no matter how good it looks on day one.
