Hobby storage is really collection management. The defining feature is that the quantity grows steadily, the items are similar to each other, and the person using them needs to find one specific piece among thousands. That is a sorting problem before it is a container problem.
It also has to survive being used by whoever owns the hobby, including children. A LEGO system that requires careful sorting to put away will not be put away. The pages here favour sorting schemes that degrade gracefully. Still useful when only half-followed.
